Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4 1954. She is a comedian as well as an actress and writer. O'Hara has won a number of awards, including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In addition, she was awarded two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was made an Officer of Canada. In 2020 she was presented with the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress when she was a member the The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Together with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the primary cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara was a part of Candy on the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984). The show received praise from critics for both her acting and writing skills and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award, 1981, for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. O'Hara was named to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert. Also included were Dwayne Colbert (Steve Carell), Tina Fey and Keegan-Michael Key as well as Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows. Suzy Nakamura. Sam Richardson. Jeff Richmond. Jason Sudeikis.
