Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki was an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press Secretary between 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party she has previously worked in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant director of communications (2009–2011) and the spokesperson for the US Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns to CNN from 2017 until 2020. Psaki began her career in 2001, as an influential political contributor to CNN. She was involved in the elections for the re-elections of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki then became the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki worked as the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and was the regional press secretary for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications, serving as press secretary to Obama's reelection campaign for 2012. 20 years ago, Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. There was speculation that she was to replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21However, Josh Earnest was announced to replace Carney on May 30th, 2014.
